PLEASE TEXT AND DRIVE! (I NEED MORE PERSONAL INJURY CASES)

Do I have your attention now?  I am only kidding. The reason I wrote this BLOG article is to plead with everyone who reads it NOT to text and drive.   Over the last few years I have seen a disturbing trend in personal injury claims.   There has been a dramatic increase in car accidents due to texting while driving.  As a personal injury attorney, I have made a lot of money representing accident victims, including drivers, passengers and pedestrians, who have been injured by another car who’s driver was texting.  From someone who has seen the horrific results of texting while driving please take my advice and heed this warning:  DO NOT TEXTAND DRIVE.
There are so many car accidents every day in this country.  A majority of them are caused by distracted drivers. In my opinion, texting while driving is not driving while distracted. It’s more like driving blind because you are not looking where you are going!  The video below is quite graphic but it is a good example of what can happen when you text and drive.
Take it from someome who has seen the horrific injuries and castarophic results from car accidents caused by drivers who were texting….DON’T TEXT AND DRIVE!  Please pass this along to as many people as you can.  If you save one life by forwarding this it will have been worth it.

Bob, thank you for posting such a powerful story of what can and does happen when texting and driving. I for one after wathcing this, and the video shared at the South Shore business professionals meeting last week, will never even check my phone when the texting alarm goes off.

I drive for a living and the amount of texting I see is unbelievable. Despite the recent laws enacted against texting while driving, I see more of it every day. It’s my opinion that whatever we can do to stop distracted driving will save many lives.

I think this would be a great video to be shown during drivers education classes.

What a great post. I can’t understand why otherwise safe people continue to do such an unsafe act; even with the new laws in place they still choose to put themselves and others in harms way. Thank you for this warning!

Hi Bob, Thank you for posting this very informative blog. I linked this blog article to my personal Fb page so that the high school girls that work for Sugar Plum and my sons friends will take a look and think twice before texting and driving. Thanks!!

    Bob,
Thanks for posting this article. Many people my age and younger are all about the technology at whatever cost. The young generation doesn’t realize that only 12-15 years ago we only used landline phones.

Bob this is a great reminder for all of us non-teens who are as guilty as teens for texting and driving.

I am enjoying your blogs and your new website is excellent.
